We want to take this time to say THANK YOU to Brad Smith ’82 for his continued support of Alpha Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma over the years. We recently caught up with Brad and asked him about where life has taken him, Kappa Sigma memories, and what Alpha Tau Chapter means to him today. Here’s what he had to say.
Why have you remained so dedicated to Kappa Sigma?
I had a lot of great memories during my years on campus from 1976 though early 1982. I was a co-op student at Southwire in Carrolton, GA and would spend my fall and spring quarters on campus and lived in the fraternity house. I only took one extra academic quarter, but spread my time out over six years of brotherhood and great times.
How has being in Kappa Sigma changed your life?
I continue to spend time hunting and fishing with brothers Chris Addleton and Kurt VonBories plus I go to footballl games and spend time catching up with a whole slew of brothers from back in the day. Above is a picture from the 2009 ACC Championship in Tampa. I organized this trip and got us all tickets together. In the upper row are an FSU pal Gary (but he had to wear a GT cap for this game), me, brothers Ridgely Cinquegrana and Roger Tarras. Brothers Ed Senules, Tim Gilbert, and Mark Sheridan are shown on the front row. That was a great time and we beat CLEMSON!
